Anthropic, the maker of the Claude chatbot, publicly filed on 26 October for a US stock market debut under the symbol ANT, with analysts and investors valuing it above $1.5 trillion.
Anthropic, the San Francisco-based artificial intelligence company behind the Claude chatbot, has publicly filed for a listing on the US stock market, according to reports from The Guardian, the Associated Press and Reuters on 26 October 2026. The company plans to trade under the symbol ANT and had confidentially filed with US regulators in June. The Guardian reports that analysts and investors value the company, founded in 2021, at more than $1.5 trillion, while the Associated Press says the filing sets up a Wall Street debut next month that could eclipse June's SpaceX offering, which raised a record $86 billion.
The prospectus gives the first public look at the company's audited finances, as reported by The Guardian. Revenue rose from $41 million in 2023 to $386 million in 2024 and $4.585 billion in 2025, then reached $16.286 billion in the first six months of 2026 alone. Anthropic also disclosed a net loss of $80 billion for that half-year and said it had raised $141.1 billion by the end of June. Its customer base is led by businesses: as of 30 September it reported more than 14,000 enterprise customers, including about 250 each generating $10 million or more, and a quarter of revenue comes from its top five customers.
The filing also lists more than 90 pages of risk factors, including $6.2 billion in debt, heavy spending on third-party computing power, and the possibility that its models could be misused. It discloses a dispute with the Trump administration that led to the company being designated a supply chain risk, which bars military agencies from contracting with it and which Anthropic is challenging. The Guardian describes the listing as a test of the financial viability of the AI boom. Pricing and the exact trading date had not been confirmed in the reports reviewed; the figures above are as described by the Guardian's reading of the filing.
